Poultry
We specialize in cross-breeding broilers with local chicken varieties to create a resilient and fast-growing breed. Our hatchery is in the advanced stages, and we aim to transform poultry farming in the community by providing farmers with better-performing breeds.
Aquaculture (Fish Farming)
As the saying goes in the land, it is millet bread and fish (obusuma n’engeni) that defines our people in Busia, the mighty Samia, and we are never disappointed. How could it be a farm worth the name in Busia without fish? Yes, we raise fish – both tilapia and catfish. We have big and small ponds. Come and learn how to make ponds, how to raise fish on dry ground, and how to make money while asleep. Through innovative means, we have cut the cost of feeding fish significantly and eliminated the risks/losses presented by thieves
Goats
The farm houses a substantial number of local goats, which are allowed to roam freely and graze on the farm. The goats contribute to the farm’s sustainability by providing manure that enriches the soil.
Apiary (Beekeeping)
Apiary has been a part of our farm since 2021, and we currently manage 23 colonized beehives with a potential capacity of up to 35 hives. Bees are crucial not only for honey production but also for pollinating crops, ensuring higher yields.
